Welcome to the St Kitts Nevis and Friends Association CARNIVAL GROUP WEBSITE,we are a volunteer association based inLuton, Bedfordshire, UK.We are an enthusastic and fun group, with close ties to our local community.We are actively seeking new members for our Carnival Group, if you`re interested in joining, please contact us.No Skills required.

The association was formed in 1984 after the independence of St.Kitts Nevis to get people together, and keep them informed, our aims are to inform, socialise, befriend and prevent exclusion.The Carnival Group was formed out of the main and has taken part in several carnivals, here and around the country. We have won several trophies for our efforts, and hope to work on this to progress to bigger and better things.

Traditionally, carnival has provided a wonderful opportunity for people to celebrate everything from nature, harvest and fertility to the struggle for freedom and expression. People often associate carnival with that of Trinidad and Tobago but both have been influenced by the styles, traditions and cultures of other continents including the Caribbean, South America, Europe and South-East Asia. Luton International Carnival includes the cultures and communities of Luton whilst continuing to develop and evolve into the most glittering spectacular and colourful event in the calendar.
